Tens of thousands of visitors will pour into the city this November for art festival in Daytona Beach.
Now in its 53rd year, the Halifax Arts Festival at Historic Downtown Riverfront Park is an institution among the Daytona Beach community. As the second oldest continual art festival in the state, Halifax draws on a rich history of tradition. Over 230 artists and artisans come from around the country to show off their wares to participate in the event November 7th and 8th, 2015. Participants will be doing more than just promoting their works of art to curious onlookers. A number of awards will be judged and presented by a committee, including a Best in Show and Awards of Distinction. One lucky participant will have their work purchased by the Guild of the Museum of Arts and Sciences, which is the event's main sponsor.
This art festival in Daytona Beach provides more than just displays from local artists. The festival celebrates everything fun and fascinating about art and features a number of events designed for people of all interests and ages. The antiques and collectibles market allows guests to browse through a wide selection of vintage arts and crafts to bring home a treasure of historical importance. Kids can show off their own art skills at the Children's Art Zone, and the Little Van Gogh Art Studio provides them with an environment where they can learn more about art appreciation by creating. Putt-putt in the park provides a fun break from the stalls and exhibits. Additionally, admission to the Halifax Historical Museum will be free for the extent of the festival.
